Bayacademy evolved from founder George Kinghorn's years of sales and eCommerce experience, culminating in him trading on eBay full time from 2005 as Bayagent. Selling on behalf of other businesses meant he was often asked to train their staff, and this side of the business grew into Bayacademy.
George discovered eBay after selling his own unwanted items, then found the consignment sales model popular in the USA and started Bayagent, an eBay trading assistant business, in 2005. In 2009 he was asked to develop and deliver training seminars and consultancy for local enterprise agencies, which took off. As those agencies closed, Bayacademy began working directly with more clients, shaping the service it offers today.
